L.R. Lax, Inc.

A lifelong lacrosse enthusiast Lyn Reitenbach grew up watching her brothers play lacrosse at Cornell University. When she found her way to Cornell she tried her hand at playing the game and immediately fell in love. Lyn has coached the Ithaca High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team since 1998. Not long after that her friend Mark Wenham, founder of the wildly popular Turkeyshoot Lacrosse Tournament suggested that she start a tournament for girls on the day before the Turkeyshoot. The Goblin Games started as a four team event and now attracts a large number of teams in grades 2-12 for a fast paced weekend of 8 v 8 "Fall Ball" in Ithaca NY. The family of Laxified tournaments has expanded to include the MLK Day Indoor tournament in January and "The Launchpad", Laxified’s full field tourney held for the first time in June 2008 in Cortland NY.

Lyn has also organized numerous club teams for players of all ages in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. She is the chairperson of the "At-Large Committee" of the Women's Division Post Collegiate Club Council (WDPCC) and strives to create opportunities for post-collegiate players to get back on the field after graduation. Lyn coordinates and plays for Team Laxified each summer at the Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse tournament and has helped organize women's divisions at various tournaments around the U.S.

Laxified was born in the Fall of 2005 when Lyn enlisted website developer Jed Ostrom of Next Interactives LLC to help develop a tournament management system to assist in making the Goblin Games run smoothly. As the duo worked, other opportunities unfolded that fit with Lyn's commitment to growing the sport of lacrosse. What began as a simple re-structuring of the tournament's website became a project dedicated to giving coaches and organizers the tools and resources to communicate with their lacrosse community more efficiently and effectively.

As a coach and mother she became curious about the recruiting process and "My Lacrosse Resume" is an attempt to expose young players to the fantastic opportunities that exist to play intercollegiate lacrosse while making it easier for College Coaches to access accurate information.

Laxified is excited about helping young athletes find the right fit, and aiding Camp and Tournament Directors organize quality events. It all began with the Team Manager, a simple website designed to help coaches communicate with their lacrosse community. Laxified is All Lacrosse... All the time.
