Greetings Goblin Gamers!
We had significant flooding after yesterday rain resulting in the need to re-work all the brackets. The brackets for each division are posted on this page. It is typical for edits to be made after they are initially posted so please check back before coming to Ithaca and feel free to print yourself a copy. The field numbers could definitely change, even during the day if fields become sloppy and we need to move games. The Master Bracket at Tournament HQ will have the correct fields.
PLEASE WEAR A MASK AS YOU ENTER, USE THE BATHROOMS, GO TO CONCESSIONS, IN THE HUDDLE, AND ANY TIME YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO BE SOCIALLY DISTANT. Failing to do so will jeopardize the future of the Goblin Games so I need help communicating this to all coaches, players and spectators. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
ALL TEAMS SHOULD DOWNLOAD THE WAIVER BELOW AND SUBMIT IT AT TOURNAMENT HQ PRIOR TO OR IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING YOUR FIRST GAME.
The excel spreadsheet below must be completed such that it displays on one page. Roster numbers and contact info are critical. Be sure to include Coach's contact info,
Are you ready to take the next step to improve your skills to help you level up and reach your goals? Look no further!

PLEASE HELP ENSURE THE GOBLIN GAMES CONTINUES TO HAVE A HOME BY COOPERATING WITH THE GUIDELINES.
This year the Goblin Games has partnered with the Village at Ithaca and a portion of the proceeds will be used to fund important programming and services provided by the Village!
The Village at Ithaca mission is to advocate for educational equity and excellence for all students, particularly Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino/Latinx, low income, and any other underserved students within Tompkins County, through strategic community relationships, assessment of the local district’s practices and policies, and responsive programs and services.
Designed to make sure everyone touches the ball, 8 v 8 format on a shortened field improves stick skills and allows for continuous action. Fields are approximately 110' wide by 220 ' long.

THE GOBLIN GAMES BEGAN IN 1998 MODELED AFTER THE TURKEYSHOOT BOYS TOURNAMENT WHICH ENDEAVORED TO GIVE PLAYERS A PLACE TO PLAY LACROSSE IN THE FALL., BECAUSE THEY LOVE THE GAME AND WANT TO GET BETTER. PLAYERS CAN PLAY IN THE JV AND VARSITY DIVISIONS IF THEIR COACHES INVITE THEM TO. A TALENTED 4th GRADER COULD PLAY WITH THEIR AGE GROUP AND PLAY UP IN THE 5/6 DIVISION. THE MODIFIED DIVISION IS THE ONLY SITUATION WHERE A PLAYER CAN "PLAY DOWN". MODIFIED IS 7th/8th GRADERS ACCORDING TO THE NYSPHSAA HOWEVER, I HAVE ALWAYS USED THE GOBLIN GAMES TO GIVE PLAYERS NEW TO LACROSSE A CHANCE TO PLAY WITHOUT THE PRESSURE OF THE SCHOLASTIC SEASON SO IF A COACH WANTS TO PUT A NOVICE 9th GRADER ON THEIR MODIFIED SQUAD THAT IS ALLOWED. IN ALL OTHER CASES PLAYERS SHOULD PLAY WITH THEIR AGE GROUP.
